We commence on the 14th of October with the return of an old friend.  Grace Huang has performed with the orchestra a few times, but not since 2005.  It will be a delight to welcome her back for this concert when she will perform the third piano concerto of Béla Bartók, composed in America after his emigration there from his homeland of Hungary just prior to the commencement of WWII.  The YGO is well into its journey through the major orchestral works of Sibelius - this time it's the turn of his wonderful 5th Symphony.  Each concert this season will feature a work by Hector Berlioz - starting with his overture Carnaval Romain.
