York Guildhall Orchestra
Jamie Walton makes a welcome return to perform with the York Guildhall Orchestra in October. He will be playing the glorious Concerto for Cello and Orchestra by Antonin Dvorak – full of rich tunes so evocative of his homeland. Alongside the concerto, we shall be performing two works that are challenging orchestra show-pieces – the wonderful tone poem Don Juan by Richard Strauss and the ever-popular Enigma Variations by Sir Edward Elgar. Both of these works showcase different sections of the orchestra and are a treat to listen to as well as to play.
