Coldplace, the world’s number one tribute band to Coldplay, will perform at York Barbican on 23 March 2019 in aid of St Leonard's Hospice.
Coming from the sunny east coast town of Grimsby, they recreate all the passion and feeling of a live Coldplay performance to perfection, and have been recognized in the music industry by the likes of Sir Bob Geldof and Coldplay themselves.
As well as performing some of the band’s greatest hits, the show will also include the original Xylobands used in Coldplay performances, turning York Barbican into an immersive light spectacle. All proceeds from the gig will go to St. Leonard's Hospice, an independent charity, providing care and support for local people with life-limiting illnesses.
The hospice has a 20-bed In-patient unit, sunflower centre daycare and also hospice@home services, providing specialist palliative care and support for local people with life-limiting illnesses.
Kathryn Craven, Corporate & Community Fundraiser for St. Leonard's Hospice, said; “St Leonard’s Hospice care is free of charge to patients and their families but not free to provide. The majority of the running costs have to be raised from donations and fundraising by the local community.”
“The Coldplace show will be a fully immersive experience performed by the world’s leading Coldplay Tribute band. Come along with your family and friends and have a fantastic evening whilst supporting your local Hospice."
