Musical icon Adam Ant returns to York Barbican on 14 November 2019, performing his landmark album 'Friend Or Foe' in its entirety, as well as classic chart-topping singles and personal favourites.
The album was his first solo release and included a host of massive singles and legendary album tracks, as well as selling over 100,000 copies and resulting in a Grammy nomination for 'Best New Artist'.
Ahead of another visit from the global star to the venue, we've taken a look at some of our favourite tracks from the album:
1. FRIEND OR FOE
The title track and album opener, 'Friend or Foe' was the second single from the album, released a month before the album hit the shelves.
The song reached #9 in the UK charts and was a storming follow-up to the first single from the album.
2. DESPERATE BUT NOT SERIOUS
The third single from the album, 'Desperate But Not Serious' is a stomping punk-rock track, featuring more epic brass instruments and another classic music video.
The single charted on both the UK Singles Chart and the Billboard Hot 100 in the USA.
3. GOODY TWO SHOES
Arguably the biggest hit from the 'Friend or Foe' album, 'Goody Two Shoes' was the first single following the end of Adam & The Ants.
The song reached #1 in the UK Singles Charts and the Australian Chart, as well as reaching #6 in the USA Billboard Chart.
