World Seniors Darts Tour Matchplay - Individual Session Tickets
Weekend tickets available HERE.
York Barbican is once again set to host the World Seniors Matchplay in 2024.
American star Leonard Gates will head to York as the defending Champion. Gates defeated Jim McEwan in the final of 2023’s edition to win his 3rd straight WSDT TV title.
Legendary 16-time World Champion Phil Taylor, and WSDT ever-present, will be amongst the field, as he seeks out his first Seniors Darts title. The Power has been prolific throughout his entire career and will be itching to add to his trophy cabinet.
Two-time back-to-back World Seniors Darts Champion Robert Thornton will be on a revenge tour, as he seeks to win back the trophy, he first won in 2022.
Glen Durrant’s resurgence on the oche will continue in 2024, as Duzza returns to York once again. He’ll be joined by 10-time champion of the world Trina Gulliver, the greatest female player of all time.
Billy Lovell of the World Seniors Darts Tour said: “We are delighted to be returning to the York Barbican for the World Seniors Matchplay. 2023’s event had such great support, with the venue loved by the fans and the players, we can’t wait to return and make 2024’s event even bigger and better."
Chris Mason and Neil Duff are the latest players to be confirmed for the WSDT Matchplay this October.
Bristol-born Mason takes part in his fourth WSDT televised event in York, after two appearances in the World Championship, where he reached a quarter final this year.
'Mace the Ace' also made the last eight of the 2023 Masters, defeated in a final-set by eventual Champion Leonard Gates at Lakeside.
A winner on the Target Open Series last season, former WDF World Champion Duff will appear in his fifth WSDT televised tournament, with his best showing a semi-final berth in last years' edition, where Jim McEwan denied the Northern Irishman a place in the final.
'Duffman' has also been successful on the MODUS Super Series circuit, winning a weekly title as recently as this month.
