Wilko Johnson
Wilko Johnson, real name John Peter Wilkinson, is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist.
Starting his music career in 1970 as a member of Dr. Feelgood, he released four albums with the band, before leaving the band in 1977. He founded Solid Senders and released one self-titled album in 1978, as well as temporary joining Ian Dury & the Blockheads, before forming the The Wilko Johnson Band. The band have released six albums, the latest being ‘Red Hot Rocking Blues’ in 2005.
After being diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, Johnson took to the road to play some farewell gigs, but he was declared cancer free in 2014.
